The Division of Nursing's Statewide Nursing Program

In 1991 the FNP Program affiliated with California
State University, Sacramento (CSUS) to provide
a Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) option
for FNP students who possess a Bachelor's Degree
(Bachelor of Science in Nursing [BSN] degree preferred).
The National League for Nursing accredits the
Master's program through CSUS. FNP and PA students
attend classes together at one of two teaching
sites, Sacramento or Fresno. They obtain their
clinical training in their home communities and
travel to the satellite class sites for didactic
sessions.
A UCD FNP applicant must be licensed to practice
as a registered nurse in the State of California.
A BSN degree is not required for admission to
