The Touro/Technion joint medical education program
is designed for American students. After completing
the one year MS curriculum at Touro College in
Bay Shore, NY, students go with advanced standing
into the medical program at the Faculty of Medicine
of the Technion in Haifa, Israel where all instruction
is given in English. Most graduates return to
the United States. All who have returned have
passed the USMLE and entered desirable residency
programs in US hospitals.

This is a joint program between the Tufts College
of Engineering and Tufts School of Medicine. The
program includes 8 years of study: 4 years in
the College of Engineering and 4 years in the
School of Medicine. At the end of the first 4
years, students earn a Bachelor of Science degree
in one of the engineering disciplines, with an
optional Minor in Biomedical Engineering or in
Biotechnology. At the end of the second 4 years,
they earn a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering
and a Doctor of Medicine degree. Students will
take engineering undergraduate and graduate courses
during the semesters and summers of the first
4 years. An internship in the medical industry
is encouraged. During the next 4 years, work for
a 3-credit Master thesis will be conducted in
concurrence with medical courses. The thesis will
be supervised by two faculty members: one in the
College of Engineering and one in the School of
Medicine.

Applicants must have completed at least three
years of undergraduate study at an institution
accredited by the National Committee of Regional
Accrediting Agencies in the U.S. or Canada. The
baccalaureate degree is strongly encouraged. An
applicant's undergraduate studies must include
one year or eight credits each of biology, physics,
general chemistry, and organic chemistry. One
year of laboratory must be included with each
of these prerequisites. The required courses should
