Program in Human Development
64 Cummington Street
Boston, MA 02215 U.S.A.
The Boston University Program in Human Development
provides doctoral training in human psychology
along the entire life span, with a special focus
on the ways in which individuals affect and are
affected by the contexts in which they live. Collectively,
the Program faculty provide expertise and training
in infancy, early and middle childhood, adolescence,
young, middle, and late adulthood. A shared focus
across faculty is on the interplay between individual
and contextual factors. The traditional subdisciplines
of developmental, personality, and social psychology
provide the basic structure of the training program.
Specialization within or across these subdisciplines
is also possible and encouraged.
